Toyota Alphard Hybrid rilis

Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) intends to bring back the Toyota Alphard Hybrid, after the production process was discontinued in 2008. The plan of this car go on sale on 21 November.
"The biggest carmaker is launching a hybrid Alphard 2003. But production was stopped in March 2008, "the report Nikkei.com.

Only, Toyota did not explain in detail the reasons for termination of the production process variant Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) premium, which uses a conventional engine power source and the electric motor. But some suspect the move was taken by Toyota because of the impact of the global financial crisis.

To be sure the manufacturer was only confirmed last generation hybrid Alphard would be far more efficient than the older generation. Fuel consumption is nothing more than a liter to a distance of 19 kilometers or 10 percent more efficient.

Happenings prices, Toyota claimed membanderolnya 3.95 million yen, or about USD 460.41 million. In addition to Alphard, also will be marketed Vellfire hybrid.

What's New
For the 2011 model year, the 1 Series finally received a version tuned by BMW's M Division, but sadly, it was a one-year wonder and is not available for the 2012 model year. On the plus side, the remaining models in the 2012 BMW 1 Series range receive a host of new standard features. The six-speed automatic transmission option for the 128i is now offered at no extra cost over the standard manual transmission. A USB adapter for iPod comes standard on all 1 Series models, while through-load rear seats are added as standard equipment for convertible models. BMW's Alpine White paint color is now available as a no-charge option on all models.
Exterior
The 1 Series is best described as a scaled down 3 Series, both in capabilities and in appearance. As such, BMW's smallest offering has inherited most of the mature yet sporty good looks of its larger stable-mate. The front fascia features BMW's characteristic dual kidney grille and quadruple round headlights, but the nose is slightly more squared off compared to the 3 Series. The short front and rear overhangs contribute to the 1 Series' overall clipped look.
Interior
The cabin of the 1 Series can be upholstered in synthetic leatherette or genuine Boston leather. For 2012, through-load rear seats are standard on convertible models, while 60/40 folding rears seats come standard on the coupes. The M Sport package for the 135i adds sport seats, leather-trimmed steering wheel and paddle shifters, and an interior accent of your choice, ranging from Gray Silver Aluminum, Light Burl Walnut, Gray Poplar Wood, and Alpine White trim.
Performance & Handling
The 1 Series' relatively small size makes it a competent handler when driven within its limits. The 128i, with its naturally aspirated 230-hp 3.0-liter I-6, will feel just right in the hands of a budget-minded enthusiast. But if you like straight-line thrills along with your corner-carving machine, the 300-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter in the 135i is the engine of choice. All models get a either a silky smooth six-speed manual transmission, six-speed automatic, or quick-shifting seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual.
Safety
BMW's Advanced Safety System integrates all of the 1 Series' passive and active safety systems and controls deployment of the car's standard dual-threshold, dual-stage front airbags, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, BMW Head Protection System, and automatic crash response system. An ABS system and BMW's Dynamic Stability Control traction control system are also included as standard on all 1 Series models.

Lexus Planning Four-Cylinder GS Hybrid?

Lexus GS deputy chief engineer Koji Sato recently spoke with Auto Express, and shared some welcome information that a “small hybrid” engine for the GS is in the works:

    Although there are no details on the new powerplant, it is likely to sit at the entry point to the range and is likely to be a four-cylinder petrol engine allied to an electric motor. Combined power output should be around 180bhp.

    Sato said the engine would have to boast fuel economy and CO2 emissions on a par with the BMW 520d, so expect the model to emit around 120g/km of CO2 and return around 50mpg.

    A decision is ‘imminent’ said Sato on the exact specification of the new hybrid engine, with an announcement expected ahead of the GS’ launch in the UK next summer.

From the numbers, I would assume the new Camry Hybrid engine (200bhp & 52 “British” mpg) is the unspoken powerplant — but regardless of engine details, a four-cylinder hybrid GS would be huge news for the European market, allowing Lexus to build on the success of the CT 200h, and in turn, create some real momentum for the brand moving forward.

One other detail to note from the Auto Express article:

    In related news, Sato also said there was a strong desire within Lexus to produce a high performance BMW M5-rivalling GS F model, following in the footsteps of the IS F. “The GS has an all-new chassis with wider tracks, double wishbones at the front and a mulit-link rear set-up. It would make a very good base for a performance car,” he added, although admitted that there are no official plans for one just yet.

At this point, there has to be a “wait & see” approach with a possible GS F — so much will depend on how well the new GS sells.

No one would argue that Mercedes-Benz is one of the most recognizable car in the world and also the oldest car company that survived until now since Karl Benz patented the first gasoline-fueled cars in January 1886 in the Benz Patent Motorwagen.

No wonder many members of the MB Club Ina who came in droves to Semarang for two days, Saturday-Sunday December 3 to 4. But many also who had arrived since Friday, or the day before the event title.

"The sixth Jamboree was attended by 800 participants from 48 clubs, about 600 cars and was held to introduce the cultural arts and historic buildings in Semarang Semarang event while supporting Great Sale [Semargres] 2011," he said.
